Bigger and Better…#BUTGOD
It’s late and while everyone is snoring I’m up writing. My headphones are in and I’m listening to some worship music. This past week has been great. I want you to know, last Sunday was powerful. Our small group had a testimony given about nothing wasted. A journey through grief of mother who lost her precious daughter. Grief is paralyzing, but even more so when it is your child. That same Sunday I saw one of my closest friends surrender her life
to Christ through believers Baptism. Monday night was revival with Caleb and Jeremy Freeman. A miracle. That same night our church saw a friend finish her 10 year journey to being obedient in believers Baptism. Sometimes in life we need a reminder that even in the stillness of our circumstances God is working on something Bigger and Better than we could ever imagine. All week I have been wanting to post about Sunday and Monday but I just didn’t think God was done showing me himself.
As each week passes my hope slowly began to get stronger even when at times my faith wanted to weaken. I have been spending time this week in the book of Habakkuk. It’s the smallest book in the Bible and if you blink you’ll miss it. The book is about Habakkuk. He is crying out to God because he is distressed and weary. But God answered him in chapter 2 the first time telling him that he was doing something bigger than he could ever dream. Chapter 3 he called outs to God again but this time he is asking God to show him is will. God answered him this time by telling him to wait patiently and surely in perfect time, it would be revealed. in the last chapter He realized that no matter the circumstances he would still praise the Lord and that he was his strength. I tell you these things to encourage you. Your struggles and sufferings will not be wasted. God is working in dark, in the hard and it’s for something far bigger than we can imagine.
