WHY???
Position as a noun is defined as where someone or something is located or has been put. When used as a verb, position means to set or arrange (someone or something) in a particular place or way. So, when using the word position, I think of Position in verb tense. I say this because God always seems to put me in the place I need to be right when I need to be. I am writing this post after trying to figure out what God had placed on my heart to write after a few times starting over. Sometimes we have to start over numerous times before we get it right.
It is starting to storm as I sat down tonight, but apparently, that is when I can write the most. I think of the thunder as the angels are bowling in heaven, and the lightning is the strike they are getting. I use this with Laney when she gets scared of the storms... Too bad when the storms of life come, I don't remember this for myself. Just be patient and ride out the storm because he's with me. We have been in Pea Ridge, AR, for a few months now, and the storm is still slowly passing, but as the peaks of the sunshine creep through, I am beginning to see his purpose.
The purpose is what God is showing me even at almost 39 years old. My job is going well, somedays I have to remind myself of the "WHY." My favorite boss Tony reminded me the other day about my current "WHY." He texted me and said, "God is elevating you. You have unlimited potential." I hope you're right, buddy. That is what I was thinking reading his text. I feel like these are God smiles. When God puts you in a purpose-filled position, your potential is unlimited.
I have often wondered if my blog has inspired or helped someone. If this way, my "WHY" is to help someone through a storm. But at the end of the day, these words are what God has led me to write, so there has to be purpose. God is our advocate in times of hardship and our comforter in a time of grief and sorrow.
Sunday, we went to a local church first time, it was good. But I know I was there to hear a message I needed to hear. The message was about Position and Purpose. The quote that was said I can't see to forget..." With great power comes great responsibility." I don't know who said this initially, but it is true. The breath and depth you have when you have a position of power, it is your responsibility to make sure you use wisely.
Tenacious Talisha didn't happen on a whim, nor did it happen in a day or a year. Tenacious Talisha occurred from failures, heartache, loss, suffering, and refinement. Tenacious Talisha is an outcome of what God did for me. He broke me to bring me back out of the water to inspire, create, and believe in a far greater power than anything else. God has given me a story to use for his purpose and glory. He has laid a path ahead of me to guide me to something greater than I could have ever imagined. God has taken me to new heights and given me my "WHY. "
MY "WHY" IS FOR HIS PURPOSE.
